I'm not going to say too much about this as I know someone else who's got it down to a fine art.
That someone is Jacob Teal.
I do not know Jacob, but I'm supporting him in his venture. I do not know Jacob's father, either, but he has a very nice blog here, which is where I read about what Jacob is trying to do.
It may sound twee to some, but I genuinely think that teenagers and young adults should be encouraged in ALL things positive, especially after the appalling behaviour we've seen in our cities over the past few nights. The report I've highlighted tells of children as young as EIGHT "...fleeing shops with games consoles...". Eight!
Enough of that... It makes me mad just thinking about it without seeing all the devastation those violent thugs have caused. Thank goodness for the Jacob Teals in the world!
PS. Mine is 'margin'... seeing as I spend a great deal of time writing in the margins, it seemed wonderfully appropriate :)
What an inspiring idea! I'll have to talk to my hubs about buying a word=) I hope you're staying safe right now!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my blog. I have another mystery book coming out and would to have you as a critique partner or beta reader if you need one. It's based in the UK.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice what you wrote about that young man and his father. I'll check out those sites.
Katie ~ Thankfully, the trouble seems to be over now!
ReplyDeleteClarissa ~ Sounds good to me :)
I bought a word. It's in paragraph four. I see you bought one. How long did it take for your link to appear?
ReplyDeleteOooh, which one?
ReplyDeleteDidn't take long at all. I had a message from Jacob saying that he was away from his PC for a few hours and would sort it asap. He did, indeed.
In the fourth paragraph, I bought the word "inward". I figured I spent a lot of time looking inward for motivation and it was applicable.
ReplyDeleteGood word. That was on my short list!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your continued support!
ReplyDeleteAnd Clarissa thank you for buying a word, your link has just been added.
What a cool idea! Found your link via Clarissa's blog and certainly glad I stopped in! Please consider me a new follower, one thriller writer to another!
ReplyDeleteWell, thank you, Bryce Daniels, for stopping by. Consider Kit Courteney a new follower of yours :)
